1. Who We Are
This website (five-ai-tools.lovable.app) and the AI Academy brand are operated by The AI Community Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. For the purposes of data protection law, we are the data controller — meaning we decide how and why your personal data is processed.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at: hello@the-ai-community.com.
2. What Data We Collect
When you use this website, we may collect the following personal data:
Information you provide directly
- Your first name and email address, when you opt in to receive our free eBook.
Information collected automatically
- We do not currently use any analytics, tracking cookies, or third-party monitoring tools on this website. If this changes in future, we will update this policy.
3. Why We Collect Your Data and Our Legal Basis
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. Here is what we use your data for and the legal basis we rely on:
To deliver the free eBook you requested
Legal basis: Contract performance. When you submit your details, you are requesting that we send you a specific resource. Processing your name and email is necessary to fulfil that request.
To send you follow-up emails with practical AI resources
Legal basis: Consent. When you opt in on our landing page, you consent to receiving follow-up emails from us. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
4. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your data to anyone. We share your personal data only with the following service provider, which processes data on our behalf:
MailerLite (UAB MailerLite, Lithuania) — our email marketing platform. MailerLite stores and processes your name and email address so we can deliver the eBook and send follow-up emails. MailerLite's servers are located in the European Union (Germany and the Netherlands), and the company is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022. Their Data Processing Agreement complies with GDPR requirements.
We may also share your data if required to do so by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. International Data Transfers
Your data is stored and processed within the European Union by MailerLite. As our business is based in the UK, data may also be accessed from the UK, which has an adequacy decision from the European Commission. We do not transfer your data outside the UK or EU/EEA.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your personal data for as long as you remain an active subscriber to our email list. If you unsubscribe, we will delete your personal data within 30 days of your request, except where we need to retain a record of your email address on a suppression list to ensure we do not contact you again.
If you request full deletion (including removal from the suppression list), we will comply, but please be aware this means we will have no record of your opt-out preference.
7. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- Access — You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — You can ask us to correct any inaccurate data.
- Deletion — You can ask us to delete your data (subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it).
- Restriction — You can ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Portability — You can ask us to provide your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us directly.
- Object — You can object to processing based on legitimate interests (though we currently rely on consent and contract performance, not legitimate interests).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at: hello@the-ai-community.com.
8. Right to Complain
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority:
- In the UK: The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — ico.org.uk.
- In Portugal: Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD) — cnpd.pt.
- In any other EU/EEA country: Your local data protection authority.
We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns before you contact a regulator, so please reach out to us first at hello@the-ai-community.com.
9. Cookies
This website does not currently set any cookies or use any tracking technologies. If we introduce cookies or analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
10. Children's Privacy
This website and our services are designed for business professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
